Meet the Team

Nicole Cotnoir

Owner of The Training Lab, LLC, Nicole Cotnoir, has been a certified personal trainer for over seven years. She grew up as a competitive gymnast and shifted her focus to tennis in high school. She participated in a strength and conditioning program in order to help improve her tennis skills which is where she fell in love with strength training and Olympic Weightlifting. She took courses in Exercise Physiology, Anatomy and Physiology and Kinesiology while studying Public Communications at The University of Vermont. After graduating she moved to Boston to pursue a career in personal training. She worked as a Tier 3+ personal trainer at Equinox Sports Club for 3 and a half years before deciding to start her own business. Nicole has worked with clients of all ages and abilities ranging from 11 to 82 years old. Nicole loves working with clients to help them achieve their goals!

Certifications: ACE CPT, Certified Functional Strength Coach Level 1, USA Weight Lifting Level 1, Precision Nutrition Level 1, CPR/AED

About: About Me

Rebecca Noymer, MPH, CHES

Rebecca has been a certified personal trainer since 2014 while she was completing a bachelor’s degree in Health Behavior Science. Since then, she has worked with dozens of clients ages 18-90 to improve their fitness, health, and quality of life. Rebecca’s approach to strength training is structured and fun with an emphasis on total body conditioning. She has worked with many older adults, those with osteoporosis, bariatric surgery, low back pain, and other chronic conditions. Rebecca is a Boston native and is excited to learn your story and reach new goals together!

Certifications: Certified Personal Trainer, Cancer Exercise Specialist, Pre/Post natal Exercise, Group Exercise, and Mat Pilates

Jim Wilcon

Jim has been involved in fitness and athletics for 25 years.  As a Division1-AA athlete, he played Football and Lacrosse at the University of Rhode Island, and has made a successful career in coaching and training athletes in both sports as well as many others. 
In Football, he has coached on different staffs that have won league championships, a State Super bowl, and competed in the NCAA tournament at the national level. In Lacrosse, he also led his team to their 1st State Championship and has been named Boston Globe Coach of the Year and ESPNBoston Coach of the Year.

Jim has helped develop strength and conditioning programs for both college and high school athletes.  He has studied Human Anatomy, Kinesiology, Physiology of Exercise and Nutrition.  He has earned multiple certifications in Personal Training from NSCA (National Strength and Conditioning Assoc.) and ASFA (American Sports and Fitness Assoc.) and is certified in First Aid and CPR as well.

“Coaching and personal training allow me the ultimate opportunity to help others, which is my true passion.  Helping others to reach above and beyond their expectations is extremely satisfying”.  Jim knows how to push his clients and athletes to limits that they did not realize they could ever reach on their own, and achieve results that allow them to excel and live a healthy lifestyle!

Rachel Hodgson

With a successful tenure as an Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach at Yale University and later as a Senior Performance Coach at the University of Louisville, Rachel’s knowledge has spanned multiple sports, including track and field, women’s gymnastics, tennis, football, lacrosse, volleyball, and softball. A number of her athletes achieved broken records, first-time evers, first-time in a whiles, and rankings on the national stage.

 

While Rachel pursued a new role with a software company, she remains passionate about training and empowering those who work with her. 

 

Rachel is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist by the National Strength and Conditioning Association, holds a BS in Kinesiology from Penn State, and an MBA from Johns Hopkins University Carey Business School.
